Eu já postei aqui sobre a falência da maison de Lacroix. Agora, uma família italiana com experiência na indústria e com muito CASH, apareceu com uma proposta para comprar e reerguer a Casa.
Abaixo a notícia:
“”PARIS — An Italian family with a prominent position in retailing appeared on Monday to be the front-runner to acquire Christian Lacroix, the French fashion house that sought protection from creditors in May.
A spokeswoman for Régis Valliot, the court-appointed administrator for Lacroix, said on Monday that the Borletti family, which has stakes in both the Printemps and Rinascente department stores, had made “a serious offer.” The Borletti offer envisions keeping 49 of the couturier’s 124 employees, the spokeswoman said.
Another offer, from the French turnaround specialist Bernard Krief Consultants, was “insufficient in both financial and social terms,” the spokeswoman said.
Mr. Valliot considered a third offer, for one euro, as incomplete, the spokeswoman said, and an expected fourth bidder appeared to have dropped out.
The Falic Group, the current owner of Lacroix, has submitted its own plan to restore the house. Details of that plan have not been made public.
The Borlettis and Bernard Krief Consultants both declined to comment.
Christian Lacroix’s struggles have captured the imagination of the French public. On July 7, Mr. Lacroix gave what many expect to be his last high-fashion show. Frédéric Mitterrand, the French culture minister, has said that he hoped to find a way to keep the house afloat, as its loss would be “a cultural disaster.”
The company posted a loss last year of 10 million euros ($14 million), on sales of 30 million euros.
Guillaume Martin, a consultant who is advising the couture company, has proposed moving Lacroix toward upscale ready-to-wear clothing, focusing on a small number of markets. ”
